Lisa Wade, "American Hookup"

http://www.politics-prose.com/book/97... An associate professor of sociology at Occidental College, Wade has a background in human sexuality and philosophy. Her first book draws on all three disciplines as she presents a detailed analysis of the current hookup culture on college campuses. Situating contemporary trends within the wider history of sexuality as well as in the feminist movement, Wade explores questions of violence and gender norms, looks at how race and class inflect relationships, and exposes some of the myths of today’s college scene.
