In this video, I continue my preparation for the AWS Machine Learning Engineer – Associate certification by learning how Amazon S3 can be used for automated workflows and high-performance data processing.
I started with S3 Event Notifications and learned how S3 can respond when objects are created, removed, restored, or involved in replication. Instead of an application continuously checking a bucket, an S3 event can automatically start the next step of a workflow. AWS_ML_Week_3_part 2Normal_Stud…
I also explored the main destinations for S3 events:
AWS Lambda – run code when an event occurs
Amazon SQS – place work into a queue for later processing
Amazon SNS – publish notifications to multiple subscribers
I also learned how Amazon EventBridge provides more flexible event routing and filtering when a workflow becomes more complex. AWS_ML_Week_3_part 2Normal_Stud… AWS_ML_Week_3_part 2Normal_Stud…
The second part of my presentation focuses on S3 performance optimization. I covered how S3 scales requests across prefixes and learned about Multipart Upload for large files, S3 Transfer Acceleration for long-distance transfers, and Byte-Range Fetches for parallel or partial downloads. One example that helped me connect everything together was an automatic ML image-processing workflow. A new image uploaded to S3 can generate an ObjectCreated event, Lambda can process the image, and SQS can help manage additional processing when many images arrive. AWS_ML_Week_3_part 2Normal_Stud…
A special thank you to Professor Victor Govindaswamy for his continued guidance and support. These presentations are helping me understand AWS concepts not only for certification preparation, but also by connecting them with practical Machine Learning scenarios.
