CM Samrat Choudhary explained the steps taken by the Bihar government to protect people affected by floods, including the deployment of NDRF and SDRF teams and the operation of community kitchens. He also spoke about the impact of water coming from Nepal and efforts to find a long-term solution, including discussions around a high-level dam in Nepal. On the Farakka Water Treaty, the Chief Minister said Bihar has no objection to Bangladesh receiving water, but stressed that Bihar must have adequate water for drinking, agriculture and industries, and that the state's interests must be protected. The Chief Minister also shared the government's plans for the sugar industry, saying several sugar mills are already operational and more mills are expected to open in Bihar. He said the state aims to have 25 sugar mills over the next five years. On prohibition, CM Samrat Choudhary called liquor prohibition a historic decision taken in support of Bihar's women and said the policy would continue in the interest of women, despite the state losing significant revenue because of it.
