Sonic Chaos (SMS) Best Ending (All Emeralds) Speedrun: 14:53 [World Record] (Apr/11/20)

"Best Ending" category of Sonic Chaos (SMS) completed in 14:53 (unofficial time of 14:53.5-ish but tenths are dropped). Official timing starts immediately after selecting a character after the title screen and stops as soon as the screen fully fades to white after the final boss (which happened approximately at 14:53.51). Run was compared to an unsubmitted 15:00 I got two days before. The sum of best segments after this run was over stood at 14:44. This is not an official category in speedrun.com, but I took the rules that apply to Sonic Chaos (GG) Best Ending and used them for the Master System. Moreover, there were a couple of timer issues caused by the autosplitter, namely Late splits in G2 and SE1, which I manually canceled during the run (hence the splits going back and then skipping forward) Timer stopping early because the autosplitter used the Beat the Game timing rules (time stops when Eggman smiles) so I had to undo the last split, which made it look wonky. I also split very late because I had to split manually and I'm still not used to splitting it. Manual retiming of the run does give 14:53, which is what matters. There aren't that many resources for this particular category, I just mostly followed the TAS by the8bitbeast (   • [TAS] SMS Sonic Chaos "best ending" by The...  ) and my own knowledge of Beat the Game which came from icy_vg's tutorial (https://www.speedrun.com/Sonic_Chaos/.... Maybe this run inspires more people to go attempt this category. It's not a big leap from Beat the Game, so I'm sure plenty of runners from there can give this category a shot.
