Close Your Eyes He lost someone. The house is still full of them. Every night he leaves a light on in the hall. Tonight, as he falls asleep, a voice he knows whispers: close your eyes, I'll meet you there. 2. Lucid He wakes up inside the dream and knows it is a dream. The streets bend when he walks, the sky listens when he speaks. For the first time since he lost them, he feels alive. Somewhere in this world, they are waiting. He starts running. 3. Paper Sky He learns to fly. Below him is a city built from memories: the café where they laughed, the bridge where they got caught in the rain. Every place he flies over lights up for a moment, then folds like paper. He is happy. He is also looking for them in every window. 4. You Were Here At the edge of the paper city there is one window that never folds. He lands there, and they are sitting by the window, as if nothing ever happened. They talk like they used to. She laughs at the same things. He has so much to say, and all he can say is: you were here. 5. 3:33 AM He wakes up. The clock says 3:33. The window is gone, the tea is gone, she is gone. He closes his eyes again and again, but sleep won't come back. For the first time, the real world feels like the dream, and the dream feels like home. 6. Stay Asleep Days pass. The curtains stay closed. His phone keeps ringing, friends knock on the door. He only lives for the night, when he can go back to her window. The dream is soft, warm and easy. Too easy. He doesn't notice the first small crack in the paper sky. 7. Cracks in the Ceiling The paper sky is tearing. The city of memories starts to burn at the edges. He runs to her window, but every time he gets close it moves further away. The dream he refused to leave is falling apart around him. 8. Don't Wake Me In the ruins of the dream, he finally reaches her window and holds on. Outside, the real world is pulling at him: an alarm, sunlight, his friends calling his name. He begs for one more night. She doesn't say anything. She only looks at him, like she already knows how this ends. 9. Goodbye in Slow Motion The alarm stops. The fire stops. Everything slows down. She takes his face in her hands and finally speaks. She was never inside the dream. She was always inside him. He doesn't have to sleep to find her. He has to live, so she can live in him. She asks him to do the hardest thing: open his eyes. 10. Morning He opens his eyes. It's morning. He opens the curtains for the first time in weeks and lets the sun in. He makes two cups of tea, then smiles and puts one away. And he turns off the light in the hall. She doesn't need it anymore. She's already home, inside him. ======================== Credits: Produced by Suno Directed & Written by Mahdi Rashidi ======================== If my music has meant something to you, you can support me directly.
