Lipids Explained: Structure, Function & Examples

We break down lipids by looking at what they are, their lack of a true monomer, and the commonalities among all the lipids. We spend the majority of the video looking at the different types of lipids (fats, oils, waxes, steroids, hormones, and phospholipids) and their functions in living things. We also distinguish between saturated and unsaturated fats. We close with a recap slide of all the information covered. This is intended for honors or AP biology students. It is also useful as a refresher for college students.
