Gahana Khojne Jatra (or Tisha Malegu Jatra) is one of the main festivals celebrated in Hadigaun (Nara:). Because of the distinctive nature of the celebration and the place where the jatra takes place i.e Hadigaun, it is frequently confused with the notorious "Kahi Navako Jatra Hadigaun ma". Devotees in Handigaun carry the khat, or palanquin, inside of which resides the goddess TundalDevi (Vaishnavi). Next, the people who carry khat enter the Gahana Pokhari (pond) and search for jewelry with the khat. It is said that the missing jewelry belonged to Mopta Ajima (Bhat-Bhateni, daughter of Tudaldevi). Although the festival is held across a few days, the main event takes place on प्रतिपदा, वैशाख कृष्णपक्ष (चौलागा पारु).
