Shamisen meets 70s funk 🥁 a groove to lift your day | JAPANESE GROOVE · FUNK & SOUL | study · cafe

KAMI GROOVE Vol.1 — the thunder god's year Raijin, the thunder god of Japanese folklore and art, spends a year at a small mountain shrine: watching summer thunderheads, finding a big drum in the snow, drumming inside the storm, and sitting in with a festival band. Heavy low end, Tsugaru shamisen and taiko over a 70s funk & soul pocket. Mostly instrumental (only "Raijin Sits In" has a short group chant), made for working, studying, cooking and late drives. 🎧 Tracklist 0:00 Clouds Are Gathering 4:29 Who Woke the Drums 8:50 Thunder on the One 13:14 Lightning in the Pocket 17:35 Rain on the Shrine Roof 22:04 Drum Circle in the Clouds 26:22 Raijin Sits In 30:46 After the Storm 35:14 Clouds Are Gathering (version 2) 39:44 Drum Circle in the Clouds (version 2) 44:04 Who Woke the Drums (version 2) 48:28 Thunder on the One (version 2) 52:50 Lightning in the Pocket (version 2) 57:16 Thunder on the One (version 3) 1:01:39 After the Storm (version 2) 🎌 How this was made The music was generated with AI (Suno). From several AI versions of our 8 song ideas we kept 15, and lengthened each to about 4.5 minutes with Adobe Premiere's Remix tool (it repeats sections of the AI track; nothing was re-played or re-recorded). The concept, story, instruments and visuals were planned by our team in Japan with the help of AI tools, and every transition was checked by ear. Backgrounds are AI images (GPT Image) animated with AI video (MiniMax). 📺 Use in your streams & videos Free to use in your streams and videos, including monetized ones, with credit: "Music: KAMI GROOVE (YouTube)".
