In this video, join me as I explore the beautiful Kusum Sarovar in Govardhan, Uttar Pradesh, a serene and historic site that holds great significance in Hindu mythology. Nestled on the banks of the sacred Govardhan Hill, Kusum Sarovar is an architectural marvel built in memory of Maharaja Surajmal. The Maharaja, who ruled the Bharatpur region in the 18th century, is known for his bravery and foresight in protecting his kingdom from invaders. His cenotaph and his family's add a touch of royal grandeur to the picturesque surroundings.
The intricately carved cenotaphs reflect a blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture, and the tranquil pond is said to have been frequented by Radha to collect flowers, hence the name 'Kusum' Sarovar. It’s a perfect spot for history lovers and photographers alike.
