Drive from Umrangso to Jowai

How to Get There Umrangso is well-connected by road and lies approximately 112 kilometers from Haflong, the district headquarters of Dima Hasao. The nearest railway station is at Lumding, while the closest airport is in Guwahati, about 250 kilometers away. The last stretch of road as you approach Umrangso from Guwahati has lots of speed-breakers placed hazardously without proper planning or markers so drive slow and carefully. Best Time to Visit The ideal time to visit Umrangso is from October to March, when the weather is cool and the natural beauty of the region is at its peak. The post-monsoon months bring lush greenery, making the landscape even more enchanting.
