Jon Onabowu - Live From The Beach House

The Beach House Sessions is a live music performance series filmed in seaside spaces on the iconic Brighton Beach, UK and released weekly on this channel. Jon Onabowu is a Nigerian-British drummer and bandleader whose sound blends contemporary jazz with groove-driven influences from funk, hip-hop, and gospel. As the founder of the Cosmic Fusion residency at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London (now in its third year) he has helped shape a new generation of live-focused, groove-led jazz in the city. His debut album, Now’s The Time, brings that same ethos into a recorded form with compositions such as The Bounce feat. David Mrakpor, When The Light Finds Us feat. Anatole Muster & Brandon Rose and The Emergence, all available for streaming and to be added to your playlists.
