Watch a man spend 48 hours alone building a jungle hammock camp — a rainproof bushcraft shelter suspended between two giant trees, with a hand-woven hammock, an arched palm-leaf canopy, and a fire pit that burns through the storm. No talking, no power tools — pure bushcraft, filmed start to finish.
It starts with two perfect trees. He checks the canopy for dead branches, then cuts bamboo, twists bark fiber into cordage, and weaves a hammock strong enough to hold him. The ridge line goes up first, the net tightened knot by knot — and the hammock holds.
Then comes the roof that matters most: an arched canopy of layered palm thatch, every leaf overlapping downhill, with wide eaves that throw the rain clear of the sleeping space. A stone fire ring, a bamboo shelf, a mosquito net — and the camp is finished.
The final test is a jungle downpour at night. Rain hammers the canopy, lightning splits the sky — and inside the hammock, he sleeps dry.

5 SURVIVAL LESSONS FROM THIS BUILD:
1. No dead branches overhead — check the canopy before you sleep under it.
2. Sleep off the ground — water, insects, and animals stay below.
3. Overlap every leaf downhill — water always finds a gap.
4. Wide eaves beat thick walls in the rain.
5. Build for the worst weather you'll face, not the weather you have.
