Welcome to Ocaña – our new hour building base in Spain. 🇪🇸✈️ In this video, we take a trip to Ocaña to have a proper look around our new base, the airfield, the facilities and, most importantly, the Elixir aircraft that are now available for hour building. Ocaña gives us a fantastic base for pilots wanting to build meaningful hours in Spain and across Europe. Rather than flying the same local routes day after day, the idea is to get out there, visit different airfields, deal with different airspace and actually gain some useful touring experience along the way. The Elixir brings something rather different to hour building – a modern aircraft, Garmin glass cockpit, excellent visibility and the sort of technology pilots are increasingly going to encounter as they progress through their flying careers. And there is another rather useful feature at Ocaña: there's a hotel at the airfield. You can finish flying, park the aircraft and walk to your accommodation. No daily battle with hire cars, taxis or commuting backwards and forwards.
