The thing about the MT82!! It's not Great Trans, And it's not the Horrible Getrag, people make it out to be either.. It's a good enough trans and that's it's sin.. From what I can see the 24's and up are strong. From 18 to now they have had twin disk clutches. With up grades over the years.. But the gearing is very long.. Even though D2's have weaker gears, they have tighter gearing and really shine with an NA set up for sure. I've seen on vid's of guys in S650's still getting lockout though!? it's wild that it's still happening.. But for Ford to be selling MT82's with Whipple's, while keeping warranty show's they at least strengthened it a lot.. The MGW is a must have though no matter which Gen you have. For REAL.. Ford need's to stop body mounting the shifter.. The MGW has gotten rid of 99% of my 3rd gear issues. I'ma do a clutch when the time comes. Not for a while though.
