CREATED TO BEAR MUCH FRUIT PT2b

Not everything in our lives is meant to remain. There are seasons when certain things, habits, relationships, or distractions must be cut off because they are no longer producing good fruit. Jesus reminds us in John 15:2 that every branch that does not bear fruit is cut off. This shows us that fruitfulness matters. God desires to see our lives produce something that reflects Him. Sometimes, what we experience as loss, disappointment, or a difficult change may actually be God cutting off what is unproductive. It may hurt, but it is not necessarily punishment. Some things have to go so that we can grow and become more fruitful. “He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit...” John 15:2 (NLT) Anything that is not bearing fruit cannot remain attached forever.
