Nikola Tesla Wasn't Robbed by Edison. Here's What Really Happened

The internet loves the story: Thomas Edison robbed Nikola Tesla, and Tesla died a forgotten, penniless genius. But the records tell a different tale. Tesla sold his AC patents to George Westinghouse for about $216,000, lived as a New York celebrity, and then bet nearly everything on Wardenclyffe Tower, a wireless power dream J. P. Morgan refused to keep funding. This is the story of how Tesla really lost his fortune, and how the "tragic genius" myth was built after his death. 0:00 The Legend 1:18 Coming to America 2:28 The AC Fortune 4:33 The Torn Contract 5:23 The All-In Bet 7:05 The Long Fade 8:22 Making the Myth 8:58 The Real Legacy #NikolaTesla #TeslaVsEdison #HistoryDocumentary #WarOfTheCurrents #Wardenclyffe
