====================
Welcome to my channel.
I’ve dispensed with the AI nonsense and just going to freestyle it.
I used to DJ from the late nineties to about 2006 (parties, free parties / raves and sometimes at clubs and bars), and I started creating music on my Yamaha DJX, a mixer and a minidisc recorder about the same time, and have continued to produce tracks now and again ever since. I progressed from keyboard to computer based production early 2000s via Sony ACID and on to Ableton LIVE about 2007 and still use it now.
DJ Gear-wise I have two Vestax PDT-5000 decks and a Gemini FX7000 mixer, all from back-along. The mixer was never great and now has only two working Faders. The decks I love and wouldn’t want to change but the Mixer needs an upgrade (Pioneer DJM-600 please?!). The Yamaha monitors are also from 2006.
Life isn’t always straightforward and during the last 20 years I’ve had to lose much of my record collection due to space constraints - I kept most of the records I liked, TBH most of the YouTuber channels with stacks of records on shelves are ones that never get played…? I’d like to buy a few more vinyl records when the price is right.
I’m a bit rusty here and there, but as a DJ I like a long mix. The mixes I present here are me having fun - I spent too long in the past recording and re-recording to get the perfect mix. Life is too short, as a result I take quite a few risks, so not all mixes work out! For me this is much better than ‘Safe Mixing’, which TBH I find boring and not why I like to mix.
If you like the music and mixes great, subscribe, but I enjoy making them and listening to them in any case.
