sweaty.wav is the series where I play the music I just bought. Each episode comes out of recent Beatport purchases and whatever I found digging that month, mixed in one sitting. Tech House first, with Latin and Brazilian percussion when the records ask for it. Some episodes are recorded at home, some live at a gig. This one was home, one take. This is early peak-time. Not the warm-up, not the 4am stretch. The hour where the floor is already full and you can start pushing without losing anyone. Six of the tracks here came out in September 2026. Two are much older, and the set only works because of where those two sit. It opens with Sweet Dreams and closes with the OutKast original, right after the Avilo and N2N flip of Ms. Jackson on South Of Saturn. That pair was the first thing I locked in. Everything else got built around it. Most of what I buy comes from a short list of labels. Hot Creations and Toolroom on the international side, Delicious Recordings from Brazil, plus Solid Grooves and Black Book Records. Three of them show up in this one. Franco Schmidt with Ecléctico on Hot Creations, Miami Vice from Mark Knight, DJ PP and James Hurr on Toolroom, and la cintia with PIN PON on Delicious. Franco Schmidt has been in almost every set I played this year. Roddy Lima sits in the same folder, and his Guzman is the outlier here, from 2023 and still rougher than half of what came out last month.
