چهل روز از جنايت گذشته بود، به سختی نفس می‌كشيديم، اما سكوت نمی‌كرديم؛ مبادا که جانيان، سنگينی سينه‌هامان را حس كنند، ناگهان بالاتر از واژه‌ی مقاومت را در مراسم جاويدنام‌ها ديديم. خانواده‌هايی كه در تلخ‌ترين مراسم ايران و دردناک‌ترین لحظه‌هایشان، رقصِ مقاومت كردند، و اين بزرگترين ايستادگی‌ِ ممكن در برابر جانيان بود. اين اثر ادامه‌ی راه پيشواهای ماست، به سوی آزادی. Forty days had passed since the massacre. Each breath weighed upon our chests, yet we refused the comfort of silence. We would not let those who spilled innocent blood mistake our grief for surrender. Then, at the memorials of those whose names will live forever, we witnessed something that reached beyond the very meaning of resistance. In Iran's darkest gatherings, in the deepest sorrow a family can endure, they danced. They turned mourning into defiance, and grief into courage. In that dance, they gave the strongest answer possible to those who believed violence could silence people. This piece walks in their footsteps, carrying their courage forward, on the endless road toward freedom.
