Keeper of the Crossroads

What if the crossroads were never about choosing a road? What if they were about discovering who we become when every road is uncertain? Hecate stands at the threshold between what we know and what we fear to understand. Goddess of crossroads, darkness, transition, and hidden knowledge, she has often been imagined as the one who holds the keys to doors we are not yet ready to open. But perhaps Hecate is not waiting somewhere beyond the darkness. Perhaps she represents the part of ourselves that appears when we reach a place where there are no easy answers. Every choice closes one door while opening another. Every path creates a different version of who we might become. So, hypothetically… If Hecate stood before you tonight, holding the keys to three unknown paths, would you ask her which road is right? Or would you ask her to show you what each road might make you become? Maybe the crossroads were never meant to tell us where to go. Maybe they were meant to make us choose.
