Deep Roots

Deep Roots — Enchrista (A Declaration of Strength Found in Going Deep) You can’t build on what you haven’t dealt with. I learned that the hard way. For years I watched people, myself included, paper over the pain. Cover the cracks. Keep the surface looking neat while underneath things were still broken and unresolved. And sooner or later it always shows. The new wallpaper peels back and the same old walls are still there, worse than before. Deep Roots was written from that place of honest realisation. That the only way through is down. That the depth that feels like a burden is actually where the strength lives. That going to the root of things, however painful, however costly, is the only way to build something that actually stands. And here’s what I found at the bottom when everything else was stripped away. He was already there. He was always there. In the deep. Waiting. That’s not just a lyric. That’s a testimony. If you’ve been papering over something that needs dealing with, this song is for you. If you’re in the process of stripping back and it feels like devastation, this song is for you. If you’ve come through the other side and found your roots, this song is for you. You have to go deep. Because that’s where the roots are.
