Duncan Sheik × James Grant, Jody Wisternoff & Calcou – On a High Screen (J-Me Tribute Mashup)

A tribute to Duncan Sheik. This mashup brings together Duncan Sheik’s “On a High” with “Screen” by James Grant, Jody Wisternoff & Calcou. This one is especially meaningful to me. The “On a High” acapella was shared with me by my friend Dave Dresden, who was a friend of Duncan’s and has a long history with this song. After hearing about Duncan’s passing, I wanted to create something that celebrated his music while bringing it into the melodic sound that has inspired so much of my own work. The result is “On a High × Screen,” a J-Me Tribute Mashup. Thank you to Dave Dresden for sharing the vocal with me, and to Duncan Sheik for leaving behind music that continues to connect with people across generations.
