Namche to Tengboche: Into the Clouds | Everest Base Camp Trek EP09

On day four of my Everest Base Camp trek, we leave Namche for Tengboche. The day starts with sunrise on Kongde, then follows mountain paths down to the river valley and back up again—with conversations, laughter and a few lessons in how to keep climbing. After tea and cake in Tengboche, I head out for what was meant to be a short walk before dinner. It turns into a little adventure above the monastery. For a few minutes, the clouds part to reveal Taboche. After dark, I visit the lodge where porters eat and rest, and get another glimpse of everyday life along this trail.
