Metra BNSF | The Racetrack, Metra’s Busiest Line

Of the 11 Metra lines in the Chicagoland area, the BNSF line has the most passengers. This track, which connects Chicago Union Station with Aurora, IL, is shared with many freight and Amtrak trains, which is why people call this triple-track line the Racetrack. Interestingly, this train is operated by freight railroad company BNSF, making it one of the only passenger trains in the country BNSF operates. Trains Are Awesome!
