The Snoqualmie Falls Trail is a popular, 1.4-mile out-and-back hike located 40 minutes east of Seattle that descends 325 feet from the upper observation decks to the base of the iconic 268-foot waterfall. The wide, gravel path winds downward through a lush Pacific Northwest forest filled with Douglas firs, featuring educational signs about the area's history and the Snoqualmie Tribe. At the bottom, a scenic wooden boardwalk leads to a lower viewing platform next to a historic 1910 hydroelectric plant and the roaring river. While the descent is easy and family-friendly, the return trip is a consistently steep, uphill climb that takes about 45 to 60 minutes total.
