What are You Reading? What are You Writing? ep. 356 with Del Blackwater

What if the greatest danger in Egypt isn't buried in an ancient tomb? Author and Egyptologist Del Blackwater returns to join award-winning novelist Karen E. Osborne to discuss Sekhem, the second book in her seven-book Dead Egyptians series. Albion Stanley is secretly helping Egyptians prevent the exportation of their ancient treasures. But as political unrest intensifies, a mysterious mummy appears, ancient forces stir, and Albion must navigate dangerous enemies. Karen and Del explore the inspiration behind the series, Del's extensive travels and research in Egypt, the historical locations featured in her fiction, and the challenges of blending real historical events with supernatural suspense. Del also discusses writing action and horror for the first time, creating Albion Stanley, what's next, and book recommendations. Every Tuesday, award-winning author Karen E. Osborne introduces readers to unforgettable stories of courage, resilience, mystery, hope, and the people who write them.
