Understanding electrolysis is one thing — getting the marks in the exam is another. In this video I work through real Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry (0620) electrolysis past paper questions, topic 4.1, step by step, showing exactly how to structure answers the way the mark scheme wants them.
We go through typical exam questions on electrolysis: identifying products at the cathode and anode, explaining why ions move where they do, writing half-equations, predicting products of aqueous solutions, and the wording examiners actually give marks for. I'll show you the common mistakes that lose marks and how to avoid them.
