We continue our Holy Spirit series by closing out the fruit portion with Pt 10 - Self-Control: Freedom Through Spirit-Led Restraint. In this message, we look at Titus 2 and 1 Corinthians 9 to see that biblical self-control is not legalism, shame, or behavior modification — it is the Spirit teaching us how to live free. Grace does not only forgive us; grace trains us. The Holy Spirit does not simply change our outward behavior, He begins to reorder our desires, teaching us that not every impulse deserves authority and not every desire is meant to rule us. Self-control protects our calling, our relationships, and our witness as the life of Christ is formed in us by the power of the Spirit.
