3 Incredible Chiang Rai Temples! WOW !Mind-blowing. Beyond belief !

Wow Wow Wow! We booked an organised trip to visit the top 3 temples in Chiang Rai from Chiang Mai. Cost £26 for an all day excursion including a fab hot buffet lunch too! Tours guide was fabulous and 12 of us in the air conditioned minivan. First stop was a hot spring complex Thaweesin Chiang Rai. It was hot 🔥 haha. The White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) in Chiang Rai was designed, constructed, and funded by the renowned Thai visual artist Chalermchai Kositpipat The Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten) in Chiang Rai was designed and built by local folk artist Phuttha Kabkaew, widely known by his nickname "Sala Nok" This person was Chalermchai Kositpipat’s apprentice. Wat Huai Pla Kang is a prominent temple complex located northwest of Chiang Rai city center in the Rim Kok Subdistrict, Thailand. Main Attractions of the Temple Complex • Huge Guan Yin Statue: Often mistakenly called the "Big Buddha", • Elevator to the Eyes: You can take an elevator up inside the statue to look out from her eyes views of the surrounding mountains and rice fields. • Phop Chok Dhamma Chedi: A striking nine-story pagoda. Its roof is lined with red tiles and dragon motifs, which is why the complex is sometimes nicknamed the "Red Temple". • White Ubosot: A beautifully detailed white ordination hall decorated with intricate stucco work. We would definitely recommend the trip even with all the travel involved. 3 hours there & 3 hours back! Hotel pick up was included too.
