Resident Evil 4 in TRUE First Person! This Mod Is Something Special... | RE4-Life

Some mods are simply impressive. Others make you look at a familiar game in an entirely different way. This is one of those mods. The original Resident Evil 4 is an absolute classic, but experiencing it through Leon's eyes is something genuinely special. The RE4-Life – True First Person mod completely changes how you experience the village, its inhabitants, the combat and the atmosphere. Seeing this legendary game from a first-person perspective, with immersive weapon handling, first-person shooting and improved movement, almost feels like rediscovering Resident Evil 4 all over again. A few thoughts after trying the mod: While I absolutely love what this mod achieves, I did notice that the new movement and controls make the game considerably easier in certain situations. The original controls contributed a lot to the tension, and the slower movement of Leon was deliberately balanced around the villagers' behaviour. With Leon now moving considerably faster, there's an interesting difference in pacing that can make certain encounters feel less balanced. Nevertheless, this is an incredible achievement, and I hope to see the project develop even further. I'd love to revisit the castle and, especially, the terrifying Regenerator laboratories from this perspective! GAMEPLAY SHOWCASE Experience Resident Evil 4 through Leon's eyes. First-person shooting and immersive weapon reloading. Improved movement and combat possibilities. Rediscover the legendary village and its terrifying enemies from a completely different perspective. A fresh way to experience one of gaming's most beloved survival horror classics.
