The universe is enormous.
Our galaxy alone has hundreds of billions of stars. Many of those stars have planets, and some of those planets could potentially support life.
So... where is everybody?
If intelligent life should be possible across the universe, why haven't we detected a single confirmed alien civilization, message, or visitor?
This is the Fermi Paradox — one of the strangest questions in science.
In this video, we explore the possible answers. Maybe intelligent life is incredibly rare. Maybe the hardest step from simple life to advanced civilization is almost impossible. Or maybe every civilization eventually reaches a point where something stops it.
That's the idea behind the Great Filter.
And the unsettling part?
We don't know whether the hardest barrier is behind us... or still waiting somewhere ahead.
Maybe we're alone.
Maybe we're early.
Or maybe the universe is full of life — and we simply haven't heard it yet.
