The Garuda Indonesia Business Class Lounge at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) offers a comfortable but modest experience, with Indonesian food options, a live cooking station, and basic amenities. It’s functional for short stays, but we think it feels dated compared to other premium lounges.
📍 Location & Access
• International Terminal (DPS): Garuda operates a Business Class and First Class Lounge here for international departures. We used the Business Lounge.
• Access: Available to Garuda Business Class passengers, SkyTeam premium cabin travelers, Garuda Frequent Flyer Platinum members. Pay To Enter guests are welcome.
🍴 Food & Beverage
• Buffet selection includes:
• Nasi Jinggo (Balinese rice dish)
• Gado-gado (Indonesian salad with peanut sauce)
• Ayam Kecap (soy-braised chicken)
• Chinese fried rice, sautéed vegetables, sandwiches, pastries, fruit
• Live cooking station: Pasta made to order.
• Drinks: Coffee, tea, soft drinks, alcohol.
🛋️ Facilities & Atmosphere
• Seating: Comfortable but basic, with reasonable privacy.
• Design: The lounge feels unchanged since before the pandemic, with a somewhat dated interior. Overall it is satisfactory.
• Wi-Fi: Available, but speeds vary depending on crowd levels. Unfortunately on a very quiet day we found the WiFi almost unusable.
• Showers: Not consistently available; facilities are more limited compared to flagship lounges.
• Crowding: Can get busy during peak international departures.
⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind
• Not a luxury lounge: While comfortable, it doesn’t match the premium feel of Singapore Airlines or Cathay Pacific lounges. However this lounge is the cheapest for "Pay To Enter" passengers.
• Food is the highlight: Indonesian dishes and live cooking add local flavor.
• Crowding issues: Arrive early if you want a quieter seat.
• Better alternatives: Some travelers prefer third-party lounges at DPS (e.g., Premier Lounge) for more modern facilities but they are more expensive.
