Our adventure kicks off with a morning trip into Ottawa for the Changing of the Guard ceremony on Parliament Hill, followed by a quick stop at one of our favorite Italian spots to grab dinner. Over the next four days, we slow the pace way down by soaking in the peaceful Rideau River, exploring Carleton Place, Mississippi Mills, and Perth, and spending a afternoon at Five Span Bridge Park in Pakenham. Of course, camp food was a major highlight! We cooked up slow-smoked ribs, chili dogs, and a pancake breakfast right beside the river.
