Detailed 3D animation traces the road loads from the suspended centre span through the steel structure to the towers and anchor foundations. The load path runs through the cantilever arms, anchor arms, upper and lower chords, vertical members and K-type bracing. The suspended centre span completes the river crossing, while articulation joints allow small movements caused by temperature changes. Massive caisson foundations support the towers and anchor arms. Creeper cranes were used to assemble the steel trusses, while heated rivets permanently connected the members without nuts and bolts.
