Just as the Chuahs believe their son may finally be emerging from isolation, he suddenly relapses, retreating back into his room, and communicating only through violent banging on the walls at night. Danzel attempts his first step towards independence through a micro-job at a coffeeshop, but the pressure of being filmed intensifies his anxiety, forcing both his social worker and the crew to rethink the boundaries while documenting his recovery journey. For Zhen Yi, recovery comes through unconventional intervention – the arts, horses and a university tour, all of which slowly help him to reconnect with the outside world and rediscover a sense of purpose. Meanwhile, Shaista struggles with deep insecurities surrounding her body image. With the support of her social worker, she begins gym training in hopes of rebuilding her confidence. But despite these fragile breakthroughs, home still feels safer than the outside world. Even the smallest step outside can feel overwhelming.
