The Desert Shall Rejoice

This song was inspired by our recent trip to Temecula, California, to observe the Feast of Tabernacles. During our travels, we had the opportunity to drive through the desert, and we decided to stop and walk out into it to experience it firsthand. I was amazed by how the desert seemed to consume everything around it, leaving behind such a barren and lifeless landscape. As I took it all in, my thoughts turned to Isaiah 35 and the beautiful vision it describes of the wilderness blossoming and the desert rejoicing. From that experience and the inspiration of God’s Word, this song was born. Lyrics: Ryan K Hall Arrangement: Ryan K Hall Music/Voice: AI Copyrighted - All Rights Reserved The Desert Shall Rejoice Verse 1 Beneath the endless desert sky, Where thirsty earth lies parched and dry, The barren ground, the silent stone, A land where life seems all but gone. The winds blow through the empty plains, carrying the cry of earth’s lament. Yet though the land seems lost to time, God's promise stands and will shine. Chorus The desert shall rejoice and sing, His living waters life will bring, Creation will hear His voice!... The wilderness will blossom as the rose, And The dry land with joy will over flow. For God will make the desert rejoice again… Rejoice again Verse 2 For God has spoken of a day, When He will wipe the curse away. His mighty hand shall heal the land, life shall burst forth at His command. His Spirit poured from heaven above, Bringing life through His grace and love. His Word shall stand, His truth remain, His faithful promise will sustain. Chorus The desert shall rejoice and sing, His living waters life will bring, Creation will hear His voice!... The wilderness will blossom as the rose, And The dry land with joy will over flow. For God will make the desert rejoice again… Rejoice again Verse 3 The day will come when Christ shall reign, And earth shall know His peace again. The tears of sorrow, cries of pain, Will not forever mark our days. The knowledge of the Lord shall grow, As all the earth His glory knows. And all who seek to walk His ways Will see the dawning of that day. Chorus The desert shall rejoice and sing, His living waters life will bring, Creation will hear His voice!... The wilderness will blossom as the rose, And The dry land with joy will over flow. For God will make the desert rejoice again… Rejoice again Outro Creation will hear His voice For our God shall make the desert rejoice… Forevermore!!!
