God Really Is Personal | 3 John 1 Sermon Clip

"God wants personal relationship with every single one of us, so much so that Jesus came to give his life, to pay the price for your sin, so that there could be a restored relationship with God." Kurt Alber starts in Genesis. Everything else God created, he spoke into being. The man he formed out of the dust of the ground and gave the breath of life. When Adam and Eve hid among the trees, God came after them and called, "Where are you?" Kurt follows that thread to Immanuel, God with us, and to the cross. Then he brings it back to 3 John, where John tells Gaius to greet the friends each by name. Kurt grew up watching his dad, a pastor, walk through the crowd at church and talk to every single person, and by middle school Kurt was doing it too. He still does, and there's a word in here for the introverts. "I walk up to people that I don't know, and I say hi to them because God calls me to care about people."
