⚔️ HAVETS DYP ⚔️
A Viking Warsong forged from storm, steel, memory and the endless depths of the sea.
A battered ship sails beyond the last known shore, carrying warriors who no longer know whether they are travelling toward death, home—or the edge of illusion itself. Beneath them, the abyss opens like a gate through time, while thunder, shield strikes and an ancient war chant answer across the waves.
Blending Nordic ritual atmosphere, cinematic orchestration, powerful male choirs and cyber-industrial metal, HAVETS DYP is a journey through loss, courage and the song that survives when everything else has sunk beneath the sea.
“Time and storm may crash on us,
heaven’s light may drown in the sea—
if the world itself is but illusion,
still our song will guide us home.”

Lyrics:
[Spoken Intro]
And though my ship has already sailed,
on my face I still can feel
the life-filled scent of the salty sea.
[Verse I]
Yet for me this rotten deck
is all that still feels firm.
With my eyes closed,
with a trembling hand I touch my lips;
in the furrow the wind carved in dried elm
the iron bolt shudders.
No joyful rapture,
no shining will
stands clearly before me.
And as I wait, I disappear
in the creaking corpse
of my sinking ship.
[Verse II ]
The shore now wanders far away,
so the forest trees within my dreams
recount a hundred tales.
Though my axe has cut my earthly tether,
its root of eternity still remains in me.
On the mirror of the waves I saw faces,
since then the wind has wept for them;
my homeless melody walks ahead of me
to where no Bard can follow anymore.
[Pre-Chorus]
Above us the harsh north light is shining,
below us yawns the endless deep.
When the fog descends, it is there we’ll meet
the thing that every human fears.
[Chorus ]
Strike on the shield! Pull on the oar!
Let the deep below reply!
Without a soul the blade will blunt,
for a faithful dream the blood will fall.
Time and storm may crash on us,
heaven’s light may drown in the sea —
if the world itself is but illusion,
still our song finds home again!
[Verse III]
Time is more than waves towering over us,
it bites our mast in two;
up there the sons of Thor are striking
bells that have been cast from clouds.
From the past every face turns out of joint,
the future is a timeless deal;
the dead men’s names glow bright like runes,
while under our ship the whirl is the gate.
[Pre-Chorus]
Beneath us there is only raging depths,
soon our ancient homeland’s light climbs toward us,
it is the star that would tell us now
if the end or the beginning is our own.
[Verse IV ]
Iron screeches, shield on shield falls,
foam is torn into crimson spray.
Crowns are sinking into the deep,
and every king is left alone.
Every oath keeps a scar as memory,
every heart splits in two;
but the sword can only be lifted
by the one whose soul still shakes with fire.
[Verse V]
Lightning writes upon a black page,
the sea seals it all with salt;
in an apple’s flesh a worm keeps guard
of what mankind will never confess.
A raven carries our names in smoke,
a swan keeps watch on what is fair;
and where hope is still weaving dreams,
there the light will never die.
[Bridge ]
If ever the oar should fall silent,
and the sea should claim my body back,
do not say: he never found a shoreline —
for every shore I always sought within.
I was the storyteller in the storm,
among the ruins I found a flame.
It was not driving me home, that wind,
but beyond the edge of illusion.
[War Chant ]
Lifir logi?
— Enn brennr í oss!
Hljómar kvæðit enn?
— Enn hljómar yfir oss!
Bíðr djúpit enn?
— Látið þat bíða oss!
Náum vér landi?
— Vér eigum enga heimland!
Fram þá!
— Í gegnum hyljandi móðu!
Fram þá!
— Í gegnum kjaft tíma!
[Outro ]
Now I am not waiting.
I will not fade away
in the carcass of my creaking ship.
If it goes down,
I will sink with it —
but my song will endure upon the wind.
[Outro ]
Now I am not waiting.
I will not fade away
in the carcass of my creaking ship.
