In this video, I'm exploring one of the most remote island nations in the South Pacific to find out what life is really like in this tropical paradise. Also, Samoa once used to be a German colony. That makes it especially interesting for me as a German. Samoa is a beautiful island country in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, famous for its stunning beaches, turquoise waters, lush tropical landscapes, and traditional island culture. But what is it actually like to visit Samoa for the first time? In this Samoa travel vlog, I arrive in Apia, the capital city, explore local markets, try Samoan food, and experience everyday life on the island. I also rent a scooter to explore around the rural side outside of the capital. Along the way I want to see if I can still find traces of the German past here in Samoa and also learn why Germany had a colony here in the south pacific, so far away from home.
