Did the split work? | Becoming a Beekeeper | Episode 27

We tried to perform a 'walk away' split last week. The queen had already swarmed, but there were still plenty of frames of eggs, larva and capped brood, so we continued with the planned split anyway. This week, we returned to the apiary to check that the queen cells had hatched. We will return in two weeks to see if any queens come back with a full abdomen, ready to lay thousands of eggs per day.
