PRESIDENT ADAMA BARROW BEGINS ANNUAL LEAVE IN MANKAMANG KUNDA

President Adama Barrow has departed Banjul for his home village of Mankamang to begin his annual leave. Dressed in casual attire, Mr Barrow was accompanied by First Lady Sadio Mballow as he left the State House on Wednesday. The couple boarded the presidential vehicle, Barrow 1, as security officers and senior government officials gathered to see them off. The presidential convoy travelled along the Banjul–Brikama Highway, heading eastwards towards the Upper River Region, where Mankamang is located. Bystanders along the highway waved as the convoy passed through the Greater Banjul Area. Mr Barrow’s annual leave, which is expected to last one month, is part of his routine break from official duties. During this period, he is expected to spend time with family members and engage with local communities in his birthplace. The president is scheduled to return to Banjul after his leave to resume state duties at the State House.
