Anytime Soon (Official Audio)

Original Song Lyrics by Shawn Westerberg Produced by Shawn Westerberg WORDS Anytime Soon [Verse 1] You came in laughing through the screen door dusk, With a little red dust on your Sunday shoes. I had my best intentions folded up, Then you looked my way and I forgot the rules. Your hand found mine beside the county line, And every mile ahead felt suddenly kind. [Pre-Chorus] I’ve been learning how a heart can wait, How the right two lives can find the same gate. [Chorus] Anytime soon, we’ll be stealing the quiet, Two shadows leaning where the tall grass bends. Anytime soon, I’ll be calling you sweetheart, And meaning every syllable again. If love is a road, let it wind us through— I’ll find my way to you, anytime soon. Anytime soon. [Verse 2] You talk about the house you’d like to make, A porch that catches all the evening gold. I picture your laugh in the kitchen doorway, And all the little stories we’ll grow old enough to tell. No grand declaration, no borrowed line, Just your pulse keeping honest time with mine. [Pre-Chorus] There’s a tenderness I can’t disguise, A whole new horizon in your eyes. [Instrumental: expressive electric guitar solo] [Bridge] I won’t ask the future for a guarantee, Just one honest chance to show you all of me. When the moment comes, and your fingers find mine, I’ll meet you there, and we’ll take our time. [Final Chorus] Anytime soon, we’ll be stealing the quiet, Two hearts settled where the tall grass bends. Anytime soon, I’ll be calling you sweetheart, And grateful for the road that brought us in. If love is a road, let it wind us through— I’ll find my way to you, anytime soon. Anytime soon. [Outro] Anytime soon… I’ll find my way to you.
