🌺 *Bhakti Sastri Course* 📖 *Bhagavad-gītā As It Is* *Chapter 13 – Nature, the Enjoyer and Consciousness | Verses 28–35* *Chapter 14 – The Three Modes of Material Nature | Verses 1–10* 🙏 *Hare Krishna!* Welcome to another session of the *Bhakti Sastri Course**, where we continue our study of **Bhagavad-gītā As It Is* by **His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Śrīla Prabhupāda**. 📚 *In this class, we cover Bhagavad-gītā Verses 13.28–35 and 14.1–10.* 🌟 *Topics Covered* 🔹 *The Supersoul and the Eternal Soul (13.28–35)* Lord Krishna explains that one who sees the Supersoul equally present in all living beings truly sees. The soul is eternal and distinct from the temporary material body. Krishna explains how material nature performs activities, how the soul illuminates the body through consciousness, and how understanding the difference between the body and the soul leads toward liberation. 🔹 *The Supreme Knowledge and Creation (14.1–4)* Krishna reveals the supreme knowledge that enables one to attain liberation. He explains that material nature is like a womb, while He is the seed-giving father of all living entities. All forms of life arise through the interaction of material nature and the Supreme Lord's direction. 🔹 *The Three Modes of Material Nature (14.5–9)* Krishna describes the three modes that bind the living entity to material existence: **goodness (sattva), passion (rajas), and ignorance (tamas)**. Goodness binds through attachment to happiness and knowledge, passion through desires and fruitive activities, and ignorance through negligence, laziness and sleep. 🔹 *The Competition Among the Three Modes (14.10)* The three modes continually compete for dominance, influencing a person's consciousness, thoughts and actions.
