Restoration of old ELBA B-200 street lamp

Hello and welcome to a new restoration. I’m sorry for the long period in which I haven’t posted. Because of some more complex renovation work in the yard, I haven’t really had much time. In this new video, I restored an ELBA B‑200 public light. Initially, I started with three lamps (or rather, lamp remnants), and along the way I added another one in a more decent condition, adding some missing parts. In the end, I managed to obtain a lamp with almost all original components, and I transformed another one, which I will present in a future video. The ELBA B‑200 lighting fixture was manufactured at ELBA Timișoara, starting from the 1950s up until the 1980s. It was used in public lighting across Romania, and some units can still be found today on poles or buildings, although most of them are no longer functional. It was equipped with an E27 socket and an 80 W or 125 W bulb, the version intended for low‑power mercury vapor lamps; for higher‑power lamps, the type C lamp was used. On the type B, the glass diffuser is attached to the body using three lateral screws that pass through the sheet‑metal casing via threaded rivets and press against the glass globe. The diffuser can be clear, milky white, or blue, with a diameter of 170 mm. Its dimensions (for all components) — and even the glass color — vary and do not follow a very strict standard (for example, I’ve seen photos with green glass, which may have been a later adaptation or not). In its final years of production, it was made in two versions: with a standard cap and with a short cap. The caps were mostly made of steel, but aluminum versions also existed, one is present in this video and I will use it in the next video.
