Time Of Innocence

“Time of Innocence” is an original song written by Jerry Hewitt Jr. The idea for this song came from something simple—walking through a park and watching children play without fear or worry. It made me think about what happens to us as we grow older. When does our faith begin to weaken? When do anger, fear, and the struggles of life change the way we see the world? Life can bring heartache and tragedy, and the actions of others can affect us deeply. But maybe there is something we can learn from the faith, trust, and joy of a child. Sometimes we need to let the hand of a child lead us back—to a time of innocence.
