Heal Me, LORD | Jeremiah's Prayer for Healing | Jeremiah 17:14 | Christian Scripture Song
“Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.” — Jeremiah 17:14 (KJV)
Where do we turn when our wounds are deeper than anything we can repair ourselves?
“Heal Me, LORD” is inspired by the prophet Jeremiah's powerful prayer of complete dependence upon God.
Jeremiah knew that genuine healing and salvation come from the Lord. Surrounded by opposition, suffering, and the spiritual rebellion of his people, he turned to God as his source of help and praise.
His prayer is both simple and profound.
Heal me, Lord.
Save me, Lord.
You alone are my praise.

THE MESSAGE
Some wounds are visible.
Others remain hidden deep within the heart.
There are wounds caused by grief, betrayal, addiction, guilt, broken relationships, illness, and the consequences of our own decisions.
We may spend years trying to repair what is broken through determination, distraction, or our own understanding.
But Jeremiah's prayer directs our attention to the Lord.
“Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed.”
This is an acknowledgment of God's power and our dependence upon Him.
It is not a promise that every illness will disappear immediately or that every painful circumstance will be removed.
It is a declaration of trust in the One who has the power to heal, save, restore, and accomplish His purposes.
Through Jesus Christ, God offers forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with Himself, and the hope of eternal life.
For those walking through addiction recovery, emotional pain, spiritual struggles, or difficult seasons of life, this passage provides a meaningful prayer.
Lord, reveal what is broken within me.
Forgive what I have done wrong.
Teach me to trust Your Word.
Give me strength to walk in obedience.
Restore what is according to Your will.
And teach me to depend upon You every day.
True spiritual restoration is not simply about feeling better. It involves repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, obedience to His Word, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
We cannot save ourselves.
We cannot overcome sin through our own strength.
But we can turn to Jesus Christ, trust His grace, and follow Him as Lord.
May this Scripture-inspired song encourage you to bring your burdens honestly before God and place your confidence in His mercy, wisdom, and faithfulness.
Heal me, LORD.
Save me, LORD.
For You are my praise.
