The United Methodist Church acknowledges in ¶161 of our Social Principles that we understand sexual misconduct as an abuse and/or misuse of a power relationship. It is imperative that we, as a denomination, commit to make training resources, designed to prevent this behavior, available to our local ministries! This United Methodist Sexual Ethics Training was held in San Antonio, TX on October 13, 2018 and gives guidance in handling the following areas: Response Teams, Advocacy, Administrative/Judicatory Response, Integrity and Healthy Boundaries. This event was coordinated by the Inter-Agency Sexual Ethics Task Force, convened by the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women.
