Today, I’d like to take you on a journey through Bridgnorth, a historic market town in Shropshire, in the West Midlands of England. Bridgnorth may not be one of Britain's biggest towns, but it has something quite special. Within a relatively small area, you can find medieval history, an ancient castle, the River Severn, historic streets, Victorian engineering and one of Britain's best-known heritage railways. And perhaps the most interesting thing about Bridgnorth is its geography. The River Severn runs through the town, dividing it into two very different areas High Town and Low Town. Between them is a steep sandstone cliff, and connecting the two is the famous Bridgnorth Cliff Railway
