Marriage takes intentional effort—especially during the busy years of raising children. How can husbands and wives stay connected, work through differences, and continue strengthening their relationship when so much of their time and energy is devoted to their family? In Part 2 of Episode 3 of The Parent Practice — Parenting & the Proclamation, we continue our conversation about strengthening marriage while raising a family. We explore practical and principle-based ways couples can nurture their relationship and remember that strengthening a marriage can also strengthen the entire family. The Family: A Proclamation to the World teaches that husbands and wives have a responsibility to love and care for one another and that they are to work together as equal partners. It also teaches that successful marriages and families are established and maintained through principles including faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities.
