Although the Joey era of Yu-Gi-Oh! featured a limited card pool and restricted summoning methods (mostly relying on Normal, Ritual, and Fusion Summons), it allowed for longer, drawn-out matches. Matches ending in a total blowout—like the one in the attached video—were rare; at the very least, the opponent usually had a chance to mount a comeback. In contrast, modern Yu-Gi-Oh! is incredibly fast-paced, driven by established combos that can end a duel in just one or two turns. Do any of you still play the older versions of Yu-Gi-Oh!?
